Hugh D. Reynolds

Thanks for coming.

I know there’s much more to you than could ever be distilled down into one meagre website, blog or social media timeline. Deep passions and potential; vast hinterland and humanity. These aren’t so easily revealed or discovered.

Here’s a line J.B. Priestley wrote in English Journey (1934):

Men are much better than their ordinary life allows them to be.

He was reflecting on what experiences of war should be telling us about building peace. I hear it as a call to seek-out the extraordinary in each other, and in our everyday endeavours.
